Welcome to the official home of the York University Equestrian Club. The goal of our club is to bring York University horse enthusiasts together! We cater to multiple disciplines and all levels.
Throughout the year we hold several events and clinics for all active members. If you are interested in joining the club or one of our teams check out the links on the left!
We have two show teams. Our Ontario University Equestrian Association team competes on a hunter circuit in Ontario against 11 other universities. Our Inter-collegiate Dressage Association team competes on a catch riding dressage circuit in Region D in the US against over 200 schools.
We also offer a lesson program to any active members.

The York University Hunter Team shows on the Ontario University Equestrian Association in Ontario. To become a member of our Hunter Team you must try out. See Tryoutsfor more information and details on tryout times and locations.
The OUEA shows are catch riding events. The host school draws and provides each rider with a horse for competition on the day of the show. You do not need your own horse to show on the OUEA circuit. There are 4 divisions and 8 classes which run throughout the day.

The York University Dressage Team shows on the Intercollegiate Dressage Association Circuit in the US in Region D. To become a member of our Dressage Team you must try out, please visit our Tryoutslink for more information and details on try out times and locations.
The IDA shows are catch riding shows, riders draw their horse morning of the competition. The horses are provided by the host school. You do not need your own horse to join the IDA team.
Keep in mind that when you join the IDA team you may be traveling long distances, so a full weekend commitment is sometimes necessary. For more information on the rules and regulations of the IDA visit our Links page or contact our Dressage Team Representative via our Contact page.
A York University student or faculty member is welcome to join the club at any time throughout the year. The membership fee is $40.00 for the year. The membership has many benefits, including:
