Welcome to the home of the York University Equestrian Club. The Equestrian Club is close to finishing up it's second year! The club has a goal to bring York University horse enthusiasts together. We welcome all disciplines (hunter/jumper, dressage, eventing, western and mounted games) and all levels from never being on a horse to advanced. Throughout the year we hold monthly events, clinics, field trips, speakers and fun nights out. The lesson program is run out of the club's host facility Constellation Farms, in the King area. The club has two show teams competing on: the OUEA (Ontario University Equestrian Association) circuit, and the IDA (Intercollegiate Dressage Association) circuit .

The OUEA membership option is open to all full time York University students who wish to show on the hunter circuit in Ontario. The circuit runs from September to April, with competitions all over Ontario. The circuit has four levels, beginner, novice, intermediate and open. As a club of course we accept all levels of riders, but for the OUEA membership the lowest status, beginner, is only open to riders who are comfortable with walk, trot and canter, and cantering a course.
If you are interested in joining the OUEA team for September 2010 please contact us, so we can send you a background form. You can also prepare for September by putting together a video of your riding, including both flat and overfences. We are accepting riders for all OUEA levels and look forward to having new members join our team.

The IDA membership is open to all full time York University students. The team competes in and around the New York, New Jersey circuit in the United States. Because we are showing in the U.S please keep in mind that it reuquires a weekend long time commitment to show as well as mroe funds towards travel and accomodations.
The IDA has four levels, primary, pre-training, training and open. If you are interested in joining our 2010 IDA dressage team we would ask you contact us so we can get you to fill out an experience form. Also you can prepare by putting together a video of you competing at the current dressage level you show.
*PLEASE NOTE* You do not have to have dressage background to show on this team, we accept walk, trot beginners.
Ou club membership is for all horse enthusiasts at York University, full time, part time, or faculty! we are looking for people who have never been on a horse to riders who haven't been able to continue riding while at university.
We have a lesson program that club members usually chose to be a part of, however it is optional. We also cater to your schedule, so if you can only ride once a month, we still have room for you.
We also hold clinics, events and social gatherings once a month which we open to our club team.

The York University Equestrian Club is proud to offer riding lessons at our host facility Constellation Farms. The farm is located in the King area, around 18 minutes from campus. Lessons are taught by our coach Alicia Cantin.
